Habitat for Humanity Edmonton works to eliminate barriers to a better, healthier, more financially stable life. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better future for themselves and their families. Habitat Edmonton has been giving a “hand up” to hard working families across northern Alberta since 1991. We firmly believe that home ownership brings stability, strength and self-reliance. With one in every 10 families in the Edmonton area in need of affordable home ownership, the need has never been greater. Habitat is a key player in moving families into an affordable living situation in which they can thrive. ReStore is also a vital component of our program. ReStore is Habitat’s social enterprise that accept donations of new and gently-used building materials and sell them to the general public at a discounted rate. The funds are used to support Habitat for Humanity Edmonton’s administration costs. This means that every dollar donated to our charity goes directly to building homes and serving families.
