High Point Furniture Industries

Manufacturer/Supplier in High Point, North Carolina

High Point Furniture Industries was founded in 1958 and remains a privately held, woman-owned business. The first products were novelty furniture items for the home (TV stands, record cabinets). High Point Furniture entered the office furniture market in 1963 with the introduction of the first budget-priced 100 Series wood desk. Up to that point, low-cost desks were made primarily of metal while wood desks were significantly more expensive solid wood components. HPFi currently operates two manufacturing facilities with over 400,000 sq. ft. in High Point, NC. We market 17 different series of veneer and laminate casegoods, 18 series of reception/lounge seating, 15 series of office and executive seating, 14 series of collaborative tables and seating, 10 series of guest/ganging seating and 5 series of healthcare specific products, all made in our 2 facilities in the USA. Standard lead times for all other casegoods and seating products are 3 weeks. Products include wood office, reception and healthcare seating; healthcare recliners and physician stools; ergonomic/task chairs; veneer and laminate casegoods. The product categories present a wide range of traditional, transitional and contemporary selections. Recent product introductions have primarily been more contemporary in style and focused on healthcare - seating for patient rooms and upholsteries with superior formulations for stain, moisture, bacteria and odor resistance. HPFi is focused on 4 primary vertical markets Ð contract, education, healthcare and government. These markets are heavily influenced by the architect and design community, particularly in HPFiÕs middle to upper-end of the industry segment. However, there is still a large portion of business conducted with traditional office products and catalog-driven small dealerships. HPFi is committed to providing environmentally-conscious product solutions. All certified products are certified to level 2 by SCS Global Services using level¨, BIFMAÔs e3 Furniture Sustainability Standard. This standard is used to identify and certify the levels of environmental achievement as well as identify specific contributions of LEED points.
