En Gros Pierre is an importer and distributor of fresh and frozen fish and seafood. In business for over 25 years, En Gros Pierre has grown from a small privately owned business to become one of the leading fish and seafood wholesalers in the province of Quebec importing products from all around the world. En Gros Pierre was founded in 1989 by Peter Hampas. As the sole owner & operator, he started out by procuring and personally delivering trailer loads of fresh fish and seafood to Kensington Market in Toronto, Ontario. This set the tone for En Gros Pierre's evolution. Strong relationships flourished with suppliers across North America leading to the development of a large client base in Quebec. Once fresh fish and seafood were mastered, it did not take long to add frozen fish and seafood to its line of products. Peter’s vision of customer service and satisfaction having always been a priority, En Gros Pierre has grown constantly for 25 years and now employs a staff of over 55 people. En Gros Pierre has quickly developed into an industry leader. In 2012 En Gros Pierre became a member of the Sysco Canada family. Very proud of the merger, Peter Hampas has remained on as acting President.
