In 1914 at the age of 55, C.A. Calkins saw the potential in pioneering trade with the Pacific Rim and founded our company to achieve this goal. Over many decades he built a strong reputation for innovation and integrity in the international food industry – a reputation we strive to enhance. Today, the third generation of the Calkins family guides our management team for the Calkins group of companies headquartered in Vancouver; with offices strategically located in the major market centers of Canada and Mexico. Our 90 years of supplying North America and international markets with seafood has created new opportunities in a rich variety of other food products. Our well established team of executives travel the globe, developing unique products and packaging concepts with supply partners and government health authorities. This reinforces our special niche as a leader in providing food products to major retail, food distributors manufacturers throughout the world. We have government accredited quality inspectors that are actively involved in the day-to-day operations, ensuring we meet or exceed government health and safety regulations. As a part of our continued dedication to providing quality items, Calkins & Burke purchased Money’s Processed Foods in January 2001. C.A. Calkin’s vision of global trade is still with us. With eyes fixed on the horizon, we pledge to continue providing quality products, establishing positive partnerships and striving to exceed our customers’ expectations.
