Teachable Moments Childcare

The Teachable Moments Learning and Development Center was started by Aaron Simmons.

His vision of a center that provided high-quality education at a reasonable price came to fruition with the opening of his family's childcare. Teachable Moments has grown from home childcare that started with only three children to a 67 children's facility that now exists.

He has worked hard to ensure that his vision for a “caring and nurturing environment for children to grow and prosper” has been maintained throughout the expansion.

We participate in the PA Stars program as well as other quality improvement programs to ensure that we are maintaining and building on the values we have practiced for our children.  We understand that some children learn through play, so we maximize the experience and encourage the children to see the “Teachable Moments” within their play.  Here at Teachable Moments, we continually strive to provide an environment where our motto is realized... “Where children are nurtured, and greatness is grown.”
