Bill Dandridge - Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices

Service Provider in Durham, North Carolina

While I initially moved to Durham because of Duke University, where my wife is in graduate school, I have learned to love all that the Bull City offers to make living here so fun and enriching. I live with my wife, son, and daughter in the Duke Park neighborhood and constantly strive to live, work, and play in an eco-friendly manner. After receiving my B.A. in Political Science from Randolph Macon College in Virginia, I journeyed west of the Mississippi River with my trusty labrador retriever to explore our magnificent national park system. After spending a few years in Colorado, I returned home to Roanoke, Virginia, and went back to school to teach K-12. I taught in public and private school for five years before deciding to become a realtor. As a licensed, professional real estate broker, I am a member of the Durham Regional Association of Realtors, the North Carolina Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Since becoming a real estate agent in 2004, I have continued my education in the field because I know the importance in staying current with developments and in increasing my real estate knowledge. In August 2006, I received my Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designation to better serve buyers when representing them during the purchase process. In November 2007, I earned my Graduate, Realtors Institute (GRI) designation, which required over 90 classroom hours of intensive education in different real estate-related matters. Also in November 2007, I received my EcoBroker designation to better serve buyers and sellers interested in energy efficiency and green features in homes. I am very active in the Duke Park Neighborhood Association, where I am vice president of the Duke Park Preservation Initiative and serve on the Board of our neighborhood. I have worked with Habitat for Humanity here in Durham and elsewhere. I support clean-river initiatives, Doctors Without Borders, The Sierra Club, St. Philips Episcopal Church, and the Durham Central Market. When Im not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, son, and daughter at neighborhood parks. We also make weekly trips to Durhams Museum of Life and Science, where we communicate with Max the Bull, the alligators and dinosaurs, and the butterflies in the Butterfly House. I also enjoy riding my mountain bike on the greenways around Durham, playing soccer and tennis, and gardening.
