Hawaii Angels

Hawaii Angels was founded as "UH Angels" by Robert Robinson PhD, in February 2002. The group attracted high net worth individuals from a variety of professions including business executives, attorneys, physicians, and scientists who share an enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. In September 2006, it was incorporated as a non-profit and changed its name to Hawaii Angels. The number of members has grown to 100. Maui and Big Island chapters were added in 2006. Members have played a significant role in Hawaii's start-up community. Members collaborate in the due diligence process but make individual investment decisions. Members also mentor entrepreneurs and provide new companies with valuable business advice and important contacts.
